Besides Twlight, Harry Potter fans are some of the craziest people you will ever meet. They go extremely hard for these fictional characters and have now directed their attention to its author.
J.K. Rowling is the writer behind the Harry Potter books and have received many scrutiny from her fans in regard to her support of African-American actress Noma Dumezweni playing the role of Hermonie Granger in the London theater production of “Harry Potter and the Cursed Child.”
Fans are arguing that Emma Watson originally played the role of Hermione Granger in the movie adaption of the Harry Potter books and a white actress should play the role in the theater production to prevent any inconsistencies of the character.
“Canon: brown eyes, frizzy hair and very clever. White skin was never specified. Rowling loves black Hermione.” Said by Rowling via her Twitter account.
These fans have a lot of damn nerve to tell an author how she should run her business. I wonder if these same people tell their bosses how to run their company.
Either way, I love the fact that Rowling did not give in to critics and stuck by her approval of having a black actress play such an important role.
What are your thoughts on this?
