Gene Simmons Can’t Wait For The Day Hip Hop Is Dead

Recently, Talib Kweli and Gene Simmons went on an all out feud with each other over the state of hip hop music.

The rapper and former rock legend went back and forth on Twitter and Instagram after a statement Simmons made in his interview with Rolling Stone due to the decline in music culture:

I am looking forward to the death of rap… I’m looking forward to music coming back to lyrics and melody, instead of just talking. A song, as far as I’m concerned, is by definition lyric and melody … or just melody….Rap will die. Next year, 10 years from now, at some point, and then something else will come along. And all that is good and healthy.

Kweli was highly offended at Simmons implication that this so called “hip hop fad” will eventually fade out.

This soon turned into a Twitter feud between the two artists:
