Today, Google released their illustration for Doodle 4 Google, where they asked kids to doodle, “What makes me…me.”
Last year, they started the contest and the national winner selected was Akilah Johnson of Eastern Senior High School, Washington, D.C.
According to Johnson, “My Afrocentric Google is drawn as a box braid, with my personal characteristics surrounding it. I based this picture off my lifestyle and what has made me into what I am today.“
The doodle is a beautiful representation of the #blacklivesmatter movement.
Here at Cloud9TV, we support and acknowledge kids that are doing positive things within the black community.
Congratulations to Akilah Johnson on her success!
