Charlie Sheen Reveals He’s HIV Positive!!
In an exclusive interview on the Today show, with Matt Lauer; actor Charlie Sheen made headlines again by informing the world that four years ago he was diagnosed with HIV.
Personally, I do not think anyone was surprise by the news. Charlie Sheen, is not only known for staring in hit movies and TV shows. He’s also notorious for sleeping with prostitutes as well as indulging in drugs and alcohol over the years.
Perfect example of the actor chaotic behavior is his testimony during the Heidi Fleiss tax invasion case, confessing to spending over $53,000 in “sexual services.”
Even though allegations have surfaced that the actor has willingly spread the disease. Sheen denies these claims by saying that the current reports of him are false and that it will be “impossible” for any of his sexual partners to have contracted the disease.
Sheen confessed, that the two women he had unprotected sex with was “under the care of his doctor” and that it will be “impossible” for them to have gotten infected with HIV by him.
For those of you, who are ignorant or naive to the disease, HIV (human immunodeficiency virus) is an incurable virus that attacks the body immune system. The immune system is our body natural defense against illnesses and infections. Once our immune system is weakened, HIV allows diseases such as cancer or tuberculosis to thrive and grow.
There is medication available to keep HIV at bay, however, there is no known cure for the disease. HIV, is spread through sex, needles and any equipment used to inject drugs into the body.
Unless, Charlie Sheen has some type of antibodies that prevents him from infecting another individual through unprotected sex, I think he’s full of LOADS of crap. I do not believe that all of Sheen sexual partners knew of his condition. Especially, with his history of doing excessive drugs. In my opinion, I think the main reason he publically announced that he’s HIV positive, is to get away from all the people he was paying to keep his secret.
Even if the women he slept with, knew of his condition as he “states,” the morally right thing to do is to still not engage in unprotected sexual activities.
A night of passion is not worth a lifetime of heartache and pain. According to the CDC (Center for Disease Control) 1.2 million people are currently living with HIV in the United States. Only 1 in 8 are unaware that they are living with the infection.
Just like a bullet, HIV does not have a name to it. Anyone can contract the disease.
Be safe and get tested!
